PRINCESS VISITS GERMANY

Welcome By British. Troops (Rec. 8 n.m.) MUNSTER (West Germany), March 29. A 30-man band in traditional black ceremonial dress and busbies gave the Royal salute with cavalry trumpets as Princess Margaret arrived at the barracks of the 3rd King’s Own Hussars todav. It was the second day of her visit to British troops in Germany. She took the salute at a tank parade of the unit, of which she is Colonel-in-Chief. Tonight she will attend a dinner and dance. The Princess arrived in Munster bv car from Guetersloh Royal Air Force station, about 200 miles south-west of Hamburg, where Hussars officers had greeted her on her arrival by air from Hamburg.

Two German generals were presented to * the' ‘Princess in Munster, the American Associated Press said.

It was the first formal meeting between leaders of the new West German forces and a member of the British Royal Family. The generals were LieutenantGeneral Gerhard Matzky, commander of the Ist German Army Corps, and Major-General Heinrich Harlinghausen. commanffer of the Northern Section of the Luftwaffe.
