Situation; Pressures are high to the north and low to the south of New Zealand. A strong westerly airstream prevails over the South Island and southern half of the North Island. Forecast:—
Marlborough: North-west winds, fresh to strong at times in exposed places; weather fair to cloudy; moderate to mild day temperatures. Outlook; mainly fair. Nelson: Moderate variable south-westerly winds, freshening at times; showers in the ranges; mainly fair elsewhere; temperatures moderate. Outlook: mainly fair. West Coast: Moderate to strong westerly winds; changeable, with showers, but some fair intervals; moderate to cool temperatures. Outlook: occasional showers. Canterbury: North-west winds, fresh to strong at times; weather fair, except for showers in the alps; moderate to mild day, cool night temperatures Outlook: mamly fait.
