MODEL YACHTING
The first and second heats of the No. 10 club race were sailed by the Christchurch Model Yacht Club on Victoria lake at the week-end. Results were:—
First heat: Doris (B. George), ser, 23min 44sec, 1; Empire (D. J. Spence), 4min 20sec, 26min 41sec, 2; Cadger (W. Schenkel), 3min 40sec, 27min 14sec. 3; Ceta (L. G. Hansen), 7min 20sec, 39min 18sec 4; Alpha (W J. Matthews), Bmin 40sec, 41min 7sec, 5. Second heat: Doris 1, Alpha 2. Cadger 3, Venus (D. Prosser) 4, Ceta 5. Points gained were: Doris 18, 1; Cadger and Alpha 6 (equal), 2: Empire, 5. 4; Ceta, 3, 5. Thirteenth heat of the points trophy race: Doris, scr, 36mln 57sec, 1; Lark (J. J. Slocombe), 9min, 52 min 42sec, 2; Amy (W. M. Willis), 9min 30sec, 54min 46sec, 3; Westwind (A. Praed) 6min, 52min 45sec, 4: Arawa (B. McCallum), smin 30sec, 52min 19sec, 5.
