Cultural Society’s Annual Meeting
Two Aims, the "Snows of Aorangi” and “The Rival World’ were shown at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Cultural Society, held in Begg's Concert Hall on Saturday. Mr O. H. Walker, a lecturer at the Christchurch Teachers’ College, showed films dealing with insects and their germ-carrying capacity, and showed ways in which diseases had been fought in Africa.
Miss Angela Connal played pianoforte solos. The following officers were elected:—Patron. Mrs H. A Young; president Mr D. J Hewitt;; vice-presidents. Miss M ConoHy. Messrs E Empson. P A Le Brun. P R. Walpole. P Williamson, Miss D. Willis: trustees. Messrs G. W. Ward and P. A. Le Brun.
