Algerian Losses

Algerian insurgents have suffered their heaviest losses of the insurrection this week, military sources in Algiers have said. In four days they have lost 845 men (725 killed, and 120 captured) in a. series of clashes with attacking French troops. Arms captured included 11 ma-chine-guns, 20 automatic rifles, three bazookas, 172 service rifles and 60,000 rounds of ammunition. < French losses were not disclosed.
