CHURCHILL ILL AGAIN

“Slight Recurrence” Of Complaint

ROQUE&RUN (Cap Martin), March 23.

A member of Sir Winston Churchill’s household today confirmed that the statesman, now 83. had a “slight recurrence of his illness’’ but it was not considered serious. “Sir Winston Churchill is still tired after his outing a week ago.” the source said. “He stayed in bed yesterday but ate well and read the newspapers.” Yesterday Sir Winston Churchill’s personal physician, Dr. David Roberts, said he had had “a mild recurrence of his old illness” but, when asked if this meant pneumonia or pleurisy—-he suffered both last month—replied: “I shall not comment at this stage.” He said the former Prime Minister was “not too well in this cold weather” but “we do not consider it too serious at the moment.”

Blood tests were taken yesterday and Sir Winston Churchill’s doctors visited him three times.
