ROYAL VISIT TO HOLLAND
Huge Floral Festival THE HAGUE, March 23. The Queen and the Duke of 0 dinburgh will be greeted by a hi age floral display during their tliree-day State visit to Holland, vahich will begin on Tuesday. Holland’s thriving bulb industry will make it flowers all the way from the time they step auhore in Amsterdam until their departure from Rotterdam on Thursday. Rotterdam has planned a unique collection of blossoms for t]ie town hall, the centre of one q’ception for the Royal couple. G herry blossom, yellow and red aa :aleas, hyacinths, roses and assorted spring flowers will be on si IOW.
Growers are managing temperatures in their hot houses to make sure that the flowers are qpen on the right day. Most shops are beginning to make Royal displays, with portraits of the Queen and the Duke qjt State dress. The dominant colour in the festive colour scheme of Amsterdam, where the Queen and the Eh ike arrive on board the Royal ya<cht Britannia, on Tuesday, will be blue, the Queen’s favourite coll our. 'The decorations are the biggest tile city has ever arranged, and include 600 enormous British and Dutch flags, a 98ft futuristic tov.ier with three spires, and a flashing red sphere, as well as 60ft triumphal arches, with “E.R.” mo nograms. The Duke will be presented with the working model of a Dut-ch street organ for Prince Charles when he visits the Utrocht Trade Fair on Wednesday,
