AIRLINE STRIKE
Boycott Plan Suggested
(Rec. 8 pm.) AMSTERDAM. March 18. The Swedish Air Pilots' Organisation has suggested to the International Federation of Pilots’ Associations a boycott of Amsterdam airport in support of the K.L.M. Royal Dutch Airline pilots' strike, a spokesman tor the strikers announced today. . The strike, involving 300 pilots, paralysed the company's outgoing services tor the second successive day. It is in protest against the summary dismissal of two pilots and is estimated to he costing K.L.M. the equivalent of about £150,000 a day. The two pilots were dismissed for issuing statements to the press voicing their colleagues' "grave discontent" over pay and working conditions in K.L.M.
Persian Diplomat's Death.—A Persian diplomat. Mr Mansour Samiri, aged 32. was found dead in his gas-filled bedroom last night. Mr Samiri. an attache at the Iranian Embassy tn Jeddah. Saudi Arabia, was in Britain on a private visit.—London, March 19.
