Wales increased its chance of winning the Rugby Union international championship by beating Ireland in Dublin today, while England was held to a draw by Scotland in Edinburgh. Wales, which looks to have an easy task against France at Cardiff in its final game on March 29, has five match points. England, with all its matches played, has six points Scotland and England each scored a penalty goal in the second half of the Calcutta Cup match at Murrayfield Wales, trailing 0-6 at halftime, rallied to beat Ireland by 9 points (three tries) to 6 (a penalty goal and a try).
