Lees Valley To The Fore

Butchers’ cattle of high quality are now coming on to Addington Market from Lees Valley, which once held a very poor reputation in point of fattening pastures. Thus at the sale at the yards on Wednesday of last week, 24 steers from the Lees Valley Estate, Ltd., made an average of £42 10s. This week a further draft from the same vendors was sold in the fat. pens, 24 head averaging £4l 10s. These three-y~ar-old Herefords, which were transported by lorry direct from the valley to Addington, were acquired as stores from the Lewis Pass area by the late Mr W. L. Parkinson.
