Six Hampshire Down sheep arrived at Lyttelton last month from Australia to become the foundation of a stud flock for Mr G. H. Blair, of Mains O’Blair, .Ltd., Lauriston, Mid-Canterbury. The sheep—one one-shear ram and five ewe hoggets—are from the' stud of Mr Harry Morris, Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. South Australia. They travelled by the Waimate from Adelaide to Wellington and came on to the South Island by the ferry steamer. In the shipment was also a ram hogget from the same stud for Mr R. J. Knowles, of Palmerston, Otago. | These importations have been reported by the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association.
