Dr. Cairney Visits Cashmere

The Director-General of Health (Dr. J. Cairney) expressed satisfaction with procress being made on the Cashmere Hospital after ho and the Pjrector of the Division of Hospitals of the HeaTh Dennrtment (Dr. C. A. Tftylor) had insneHed the work yesterday. Both said thev theueht the work and the hospital of a very high standard. Dr Cairney said he expected to see the hospital occupied early next year. Both had discussions yesterday with members of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, one subject being the policy for admissions at Cashmere and Burwood. "We agreed on most points concerning this.” said Dr. Cairney. Dr. Cairney and Dr. Taylor visited priva 4 e hospitals yesterdav afternoon, and today they will conclude their visit to Canterbury by an inspection of the maternity home at Akaroa.
