PLEASE, NOT YET!
IBp WHIM WHAM] A leading German physicist, Professor Werner Heisenberg, announced a discovery . . . which might provide the answer to one of the greatest riddles remaining in man's understanding of the secret! of nature . . . had developed a mathematical equation from which the whole structure of the cosmos might be explained.—News item. With timid Fingertips I touch the Keys Of this Typewriter. Hush, you Jokers, please I Fool that I am, absurd as it may seem The Structure of the Cosmos is my Theme I Yet, if I 'am not qualified to speak, i My Situation’s not, I think, unique:. All Men are ignorant it seems to Me, But Some mose ignorant than Others see ? Just call me Kiwi! Never mind what They, These Physicists and these Professors, say We’Ye got our School Certs too, and we re O.K. I The Structure of OUR Cosmos may be crude, Our Mathematics childish, being viewed By god-like Intellects that glimpse their Goal, The Great. Equation that explains the Whole, The Great Equation which, one. might suppose, God and God only (for the Moment) knows, The Great Equation that lays bare at last What .it All is, this whole Shebang so vast, The cosmic Structure the supreme Equation Explaining ALL the awful Preparation For the last. Stage of mankind’s Education, When Somebody eimlains the Explanation I Still the crude Cosmos, to our vulgar Eye, Presents its countless Stars, its infinite Sky. Space is all round, and We are in the Middle, Here, there, or Anywhere the same old Riddle, . Topless, Up-there and bottomless Below. Who’s got the Mathematics that can show Non-cosmic Man his Place in the whole Scheme, And what Things are, instead of what they seem ..." Sir, as I feared, this elevated Theme Has gone beyond me! PLEASE make my Apology , ■ To those intellectual Jokers who think they know More than We do, there’s bound to be some carping Egghead who reads the R**d*rs D*g*st and thinks he’s got All the Answers in ancient and modem Cosmology!
