Mrs Fuchs’s Visit To N.Z.

Mrs Joyce Fuchs, wife of the leader of the British Trans-Ant-arctic expedition, is expected to arrived at Christchurch airport this afternoon from London.

While waiting for Dr. F\ichs’a return from the Antarctic she will spend some time in the North Island visiting friends. Mrs Fuchs, formerly Miss Joyce Connel, used to teach at Nga Tawa School. At Harewood she will be met by Mr C. M. Bowden, chairman of the Ross Sea Committee, with whom she will have dinner before boarding the interisland steamer express for Wellington.
