Obituary MR T. P. KINGI

(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, February 27, The death occurred yesterday at his residence in Rata of Mr Taituhu Peina Kingi, a former New Zealand Rugby representative and Maori All Black. Better known to an older generation of Rugby footballers as Peina, he played for the Maori All Black team in 1922 with his Rata Club mate, W. Potaka, of Manga weka. The pair excelled as five-eighths and they were selected for the North Island team in 1923, and also for the New Zealand representative team the same season. Mr Kingi was 56.
