Rugby N.Z. Team For First Test

The New Zealand Rugby team for the test match at Fukuoka, Southern Japan, on Sunday, is the same as that which played the first match on February 23. The team 1 is: Dineen, Cossey, Walsh, Watt, Lineen, Brown, Briscoe, Soper, Pickering, Meads, Barry, Hayes, Rowlands, Creighton, Wineray. The New Zealand team’s management has chosen Mr D. Kawata as the referee for the test. Mr Kawata has refereed “test” matches in Japan before. Although the management committee is unwilling to comment, general opinion is that the New Zealanders would be justified in complaining about the standard of refereeing in the match at Tokyo yesterday. The referee was the assistant coach of the All Kanto Universities team.
