Swimming PAPANUI HIGH SCHOOL
Two Records Broken In Girls’ Sports Two records were broken in the girls’ events at the Papanui High School’s annual swimming sports at the school. Both were in the junior section, where A. Doran established a new time of 49 2-ssec for the 66 2-3. yards freestyle, beating the old record by | l-ssec. and K. Reece set a new record for the 33 1-3 yards backstroke pf 27.5 sec, beating the previous record by .ssec.
The versatility of Hobin Silk was clearly shown when she won the senior championship with 15 points. She is also the holder of the senior girls’ athletics title. A. Fleet, with 121 points,- was ’runner-up. The junior championship was won by A. Doran, with 18 points, and K. Reece was runner-up, with 14 points.
