Prince Darius

(N.Z Press Association—Coponahti (Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 23. The crack New Zealand-bred colt Tulloch will run against another star, Sydney three-year-old. Prince Darius, in n exhibition gallop after the fourth race at Randwick on Saturday. The distance will be decided after Tulloch’s trainer, R. J. Smith, returns from New Zealand tomorrow. It is likely to be about five furlongs. Because of the recent controversy over Tulloch’s fitness, the gallop has aroused Australianwide interest. Both colts pleased in their final warm-up gallops at Randwick today. Keen track watchers claim that Tulloch stretched out as well as when he was at the top of his form in the spring. Smith’s stable foreman said he considered Tulloch as good as ever. George Moore will ride Tulloch on Saturday and Arthur Ward will be oh Prince Darius.
