GERMAN ARMS MISSION
Australian Visit (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Jan. 23. West German defence authorities will visit the Woomera rocket range next month to assess the possibilities of buying Australiandesigned and built Jindivik jet target aircraft, it was learned today. The mission, which will probably include Luftwaffe (air force) and Wehrmacht (army) specialists, will spend two or three weeks in Australia.
They will inspect Government aircraft factories at Fisherman’s Bend, near Melbourne, where the aircraft is built, before seeing it in action on the range.
Japanese Missiles.—A Japanese firm in Nagoya, south-western Japan, has announced plans for making small guided missiles, but the Government has not yet committed itself to support any such plans, a Defence Agency spokesman said today.—Tokyo, January 23.
