Sir,—John Burbridge is right in his accusation of cruelty to fowls in the Bromley district Deep dry sand surround these open batteries of fowls, and the flying sand caused by easterly, nor’-westerly and sou’-west winds has to be seen for one to realise the hell these birds live in.
