FRENCH TOUR OF N.Z.
Twelve Matches In 1961 (NJS. Press Assoctation—CopyrtgM) LONDON, January 21. The Paris sports newspaper “L’Equide” says the French Rugby Union has agreed to send a team to tour New Zealand in 1961 and play 12 matches. It reports that when Mr Adolphe Jaureguy met the New Zealand representative at the international match at Twickenham on January 18 and invited New Zealand to play in France he was told: “We will come to France when the French have kept their promise to tour New Zealand.’' Agreement was then reached on the 1961 tour. Mr C. S. Hogg, chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union, who is attending the International Board conference, confirmed that the French had agreed to tour New Zealand.
