Mr Nash Sends Message

(New Zealana Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 20. A message sent by the Prime Minister (Mr Nash) to Dr. Fuchs on receipt of the news of his reaching the South Pole was: “Warmest congratulations from all New Zealand on completion of a magnificent journey. We have followed reports of the progress of yourself and your party with the closest interest, and know of the tremendous difficulties you have so successfully overcome. It has been a wonderful effort. “Congratulations and the best of luck to you all. Kindest regards and good wishes for completion of the project and a safe return to New Zealand and the homeland. —Walter Nash.”
