PUBLIC NOTICES WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL WATER SUPPLY EXTENSION LOAN N 0.3, 1957 £57.000 IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED - that the Waimairi County Council, at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, Papanui, on Monday, December 16, 1957, at 7.30 p.m„ passed the following resolution : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the “Counties Act, 1956,” tfie “Local Authorities Loans Act. 1956.” and all amendments thereto and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the “Water Supply Extension Loan No. 3, 1957“ of an amount of flfty-seven thousand pounds (£57.000) for*the purpose of completing the Council's nigh Sressure water supply scheme in le urban areas of the Harewood, Marshland, Middleton, Papanui. Styx and Wairarapa Ridings of the County, subject to the following conditions—--1 The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed thirtyfive years. 2 The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall .not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five per cent, per annum. 3 The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause 1 hereof. 4 The payment of all such instal- . .. ments shall. be made in New Zealand and no such instalments shall be paid out of loan money. 5 The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one half per cent, of any amount raised. 6 The form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by meana of debentures of £lOO, £5OO and £lOOO denominations, and interest coupons in conformity with the “Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” or by registered 1 stock. 7No moneys shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of two years from the date of the Order-in-Coundl consenting to the raising of the said

IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if five per cent, of the ratepayers in the above defined areas of the County so demand, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution hereinbefore mentioned.
