Croquet SOUTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT

Doubles Title Decided

The South Island croquet championships were continued in Christchurch yesterday. The final of the championship doubles was won by Mesdames W. H. Kirk and E. Todd. Other events will be completed today.

Results:— Championship Doubles Second life: Mrs W. H. Kirk and Mrs E. Todd beat Mrs A. L. Bonar and J. Hewitson, 26-10.

First life: H. R. Abbott and F. W. Gurnsey beat Mrs C. Ogier and Mrs E. O. Burgess, 26-19.

Final: Mesdames Kirk and Todd beat H. R. Abbott and F. W. Gurnsey, 26-5.

Handicap Events Doubles.—Semi-final: J. Hewitson and W. Penman beat F. W. Gurnsey and Mrs M. Rattray, 26-13. X.Y. Singles.—Final: H. Morgan beat D. Turner, 26-20. - Singles.—Final: W. Penman beat Mrs C. Ogier, 26-14.
