CLUTHA SEAT

Intensive Labour Campaign (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, January 7. The Labour Party’s campaign for the election on January IB in the Clutha electorate, announced by the Dominion organiser (Mr C. G. J. Shamy) today, will, according to Mr Shamy, be one of the most intensive ever carried out in a country electorate.

It was hoped, he said, that the Prime Minister (Mr. Nash) would take part All the other Labour speakers would, with the exception of Mr M. A. Connelly (Riccarton), be members elected to Parliament for the first time at the November poll. The National Party speakers will be headed by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) and will include several other former Ministers.
