MIDDLE EAST POLICIES

U.S. Criticised At Cairo Talks

CAIRO, December 31,

Russia and < China criticised the Eisenhower Middle East Doctrine today in speeches to the AfricanAsian “Solidarity” conference. Mr Sharak Rashidov, who repeated Russia’s pledge of unconditional economic aid to African and Asian countries, said: “American imperialism proclaimed the so-called Eisenhower Doctrine and tried under the guise of economic aid to enslave the unde veloped countries. * Mr Kuo Mo Jo (China) denounced the architects of the Eisenhower Doctrine and said: “Their whole area is filled with selfishness, greed for colossal and bloody war profits, and racial superiority complex. “The warmongers are consciously trying to link the N.A.T.O. nations with the Bagdad Pact and the Manila Pact (5.E.A.T.0.) in a common body in order to turn the whole Eastern Hemisphere into a nuclear battlefield.” he said.
