Prominent English Trainer Dies
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 1. Frank Butters, one of England’s greatest racehorse trainers, died last night. He was 79.
Butters, leading trainer in England seven times between 1927 and 1946, had the winners of 15 English classics, and also won classic events m five other countries. One of his best achievements was to tram the winner of the Epsom Derby two years in succession, with the late Aga Khan's Bahram (1935) and Mahmoud (1936). '
