Situation: A south-westerly airstream covers New Zealand and an anti-cyclone over the Tasman Sea is moving eastwards. Forecast:—
West Coast: South-west winds, fresh in exposed places; variable skies, with scattered showers and moderate temperatures. Outlook: occasional showers. Canterbury: Light variable winds, easterlies predominating on the coast; fair weather; cool temperatures near the coast. Outlook: fair. Nelson and Marlborough: Moderate winds, northerlies in Nelson, variable in Marlborough; some drizzle about the Kaikoura coast in the morning, but weather otherwise fair; moderate temperatures. Outlook: fair.
