New Status
The W. Duncan included in the Northern Districts team for its Piunket Shield match now being played against Otago is a former Christchurch cricketer. Duncan, after leading the first eleven at the Christchurch Boys’ High School, played one game for West Christchurch in the 1952-53 season. The following summer, his lively leftarm bowling brought him 24 wickets at an average of 23, and in the following seasons he enjoyed similar success with 21 wickets at 24 each and 16 at 27.
