Cypriot Children Attack Troops
(Rec. 11 p.m.) NICOSIA, December 17. Greek Cypriot school children hurled stones and sand-filled bottles at six British Army vehicles outside the Morphou gymnasium, 25 miles west of Nicosia, today. - Some of the vehicles were damaged and one British soldier was injured.
A shot was fired into the air. The schoolchildren had abandoned classes to stage a demonstration in the school yard, which overlooks the main Nicosia-Mor-phou road. Stones and other missiles were piled behind the school fence.
