Sir, Your correspondent. Howard Franklin, says. “Our country must have leadership, and this cannot be provided by politicians who can only give the people what they want.” I assure your correspondent that .fur 14 years the Labour Government did everything to ensure that people and children received adequate education. Labour encouraged and helped W.E.A. classes for adults and also made free of charge to all parents the wonderful system of testing children for true vocation. With Labour in
power again there "will be no shortages of scientists and intelligent people in the right places as has been the case under the Tory governments where money was the god and rugged individualism rated higher than intelligence.—Yours, etc.. VOCATION. December 9, 1957.
