Mr Tennent To Succeed Mr Fawcett (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. December 5. At this evening’s farewell to Mr E. J Fawcett, the retiring Direc-tor-General nf Agriculture. Mr G. T. Bolt, chairman of the Public Service Commission, announced that Mr R. B. Tennent. Deputy-Director-General. would succeed Mr Fawcett. Mr Tennent was fields supervisor at Dunedin before he was appointed assistant Director-General in 1943. Last April he was appointed Deputy Director-General. He is in Britain with the New Zealand trade delegaflon. He is due to arrive at Wellington on December 16.
