Life-Saving NEW BRIGHTON CLUB

The New Brighton Surf Life-saving Club held the third of the series of surf races tor the McKenzie Cup on Sunday. A good surf was running which tested the swimmers’ ability. In the senior race, the three placed swimmers swam well, and took full advantage of the shoots offering. Graham Dann, a newcomer to the surf, although he has made a name for himself as a New Zealand junior swimming champion, sWam a good race from scratch and gained his first win. He has adapted himself quickly to surf conditions. Result, were:— Senior.—D. Young (30sec) 1, P. Breach (scr) 2, G. Beer (80sec) S. Junior.—G. Dann (scr) 1, T. Brown (lOaec) 2.
