RESHAPING OF PLANE FIRMS
‘.Rec. 12.30 a.m.« LONDON, Dec. 3. The British Supply Minister, Mr Aubrey Jones, signed the death warrants of shoestring aircraft firms when he announced a tough Government policy towards Britain’s ailing aircraft industry in the House of Commons last night. The industry should reshape itself into stronger units, Mr Jones said. Firms which lacked the resources to complete an ordered project quickly and successfully would he required to collaborate with other aircraft contractors.
Mr Jones told members that there was an investigation going on into problems facing the aircraft industry.
