Starting Gates For Riccarton
Wood starting gates will be in use at Riccarton for the Canterbury Jockey Club's autumn meeting next April. The committee of the club decided yesterday to place an order for the gates, which are in use at many North Island meetings, including Trentham. The Wood starting gates will replace stalls, which have been in use for some years at Riccarton. The stalls used at the New Zealand Cup meeting last month were straddled hy horses on several occasions.
