FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT
Situation: A deep depression is centred in the southwest Tasman Sea. and a cold front is expected to become slow moving over the North Island. Forecast:—
Nelson and Marlborough: Moderate winds, northerlies predominating; scattered rain at first, becoming fair later; moderate temperatures. West Coast: Moderate northerly winds: variable skies; occasional showers; moderate temperatures. Canterbury: Moderate north-west winds; weather becoming fair; temperatures mild. Outlook.—All districts: unsettled, with some rain in most places during the day.
