Overseas Reserves Fall To £64m

The decline in New Zealand’s overseas reserves, which in the previous two years had been checked by mid-November, this year continued until November 13. At that date net overseas assets of the New Zealand banking system totalled £64.0m, a drop of £2.2m in a week and £ 14.4 m in a month. At November 14 last year the figure was £ 78.0 m.
