Calder, assistant director of Cantterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, and head of the field husbandry department, Is shown speaking to farmers at a field day at the college this week which will probably be the last while he is still a member of the college staff. Professor Calder, who has been a member of the college staff since 1923, and was first a student at the college in 1918, retires at the end of March.
