New Machines For Mail
Three new machines for dealing with the mails will be working together for the first time ut Southampton during the peak of the Christmas postal traffic.
Thesfe have been developed by the Post Office Engineering Research Station at Dollis Hill. London. The job of one of them will be to' sort letters so that they are all the way up It will be able to work either with a photo-electric cell or by making use of the graphite, barred stamps to be • on sale in the area from November.— (U.K.1.5.)
