TOC H MEETS AT TIMARU

Mr J. Gimson presided over a recent regional conference at Timaru of Canterbury units of Toe H. ' Members were present from the Christchurch, Timaru and Waimate branches. Branch reports indicated that the Christchurch branch undertook hospital and prison visiting and was interested in the Crichton Cobbers Club, Linwood Boys’ Club and Toe H Amateur Ath letic Club. It was reported that new enlarged premises were shortly to be provided for the Linwood Boys’ Club. The Timaru branch reported activities in holding film evenings (for elderly persons in homes and ■ institutions. It had representatives on Health Camp and Blind Institute committees. I The Waimate branch reported its sponsorship of successful community singing evenings. I A talk, entitled “To Strive,” was given by Mr S.
