EARTH SATELLITE TRACKER.—This small-missile telecamera was unveiled by officials of the United States Army Proving Ground at Aberdeen, Maryland, on November 20. It is claimed the instrument was used on November 7 in the first known precision-tracking of the second Russian earth satellite. Believed to be the world’s largest and most accurate tracking instrument, it incorporates a 30in mirror, a 100in focal length, and both still and motion picture apparatus.
