TWO ESCAPERS CAUGHT

Police Dog Used In Search (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 27. A large-scale police search yesterday afternoon and evening m the Pauatahanui area, in which the police dog Miska played a prominent part, ended with the recapture of two 16-year-old youths who had absconded from the Child Welfare Division’s training farm at Levin. The youths escaped from the farm on Saturday. At the height of the search yesterday six patrol cars and 16 police were engaged. Miska picked up the scent from a jacket discarded by one of the youths, who took to the bush, but later came on to the road at Waiwhetu and were recaptured.
