NEW CONWAY BRIDGE IN WALES.—Work in progress on the new bridge over the Conway river, in Caernarvonshire, which will cost £500,000. It will replace the bridge built by Thomas Telford in 1826. The new bridge, which will be free from tolls, will be completed in December next year. Carefully designed to blend with Conway Castle and the medieval character of the old town, it will be about 60 yards from the old bridge. When completed, the new bridge will relieve traffic congestion between England and Wales.
