NUCLEAR REACTOR BLESSED.—The Rt Rev. W. J. McDonald, acting rector of the Roman Catholic University of America in Washington, sprinkling holy water on a small nuclear reactor at installation ceremonies at the university. The reactor, made possible by a grant from the Atomic Energy Commission, is intended as a basic laboratory instrument in teaching reactor physics and reactor engineering to graduate students working for their master’s degree in nuclear engineering.
