Show Week Crowds Well Behaved

The behaviour of the many thousands of visitors to Christi church for Show Week was described by the Superintendent of Police, Christchurch (Mr D. R. Sugrue) as excellent. Police had experienced one of the quietest Show weeks for many years, but extra patrols had been used to watch for crime, he added.
