PIGEON RACING
East Christchurch Club The East Christchurch Pigeon Flying Club’s second race of the season from Napier, was held at the weekend. The birds flew the distance of 360 miles in strong north-west conditions for most of the journey. J. Aird’s bird was the winner in 9hr 21min 58sec. P. Morgan’s bird won the nominated bird prize. Detailed results were:—

Courtier, 9hr 30min 46sec, 7; J. Rhodes, 9hr 30min 52sec, 8; E. Courtier. 9hr 31min 40sec, 9; R. Weston, 9hr 32min 25sec, 10.
