Crushing Out Egg Thefts
MELBOURNE. ; An egg-stealing thief at Melbourne’s Royal Agricultural Show got himself into a mess. A poultry pavilion attendant, ■ Mr E. Whitlock, saw the thief pocketing eggs laid by prize [ birds in their show pens. Withi out comment, the attendant . bumped against the bulging pocket. ; “His face was a picture,” said egg-crusher Whitlock, when he ■ saw him outside scraping the mess • put of his pocket.—Reuter.
