Approximately 459 million lb of butterfat was used by dairy factories for cheese, butter, preserved milk, casein, and other products, and 46 million lb was used for drinking, cooking, or making ice cream. After manufacture. 71.3 per cent, of the total butterfat produced was exported as butter, cheese, or preserved milk, mainly to the United Kingdom, which took 142.700 tons of butter and 82.300 tons of cheese.
