A New Zealand ski-ing champion. Miss Wanda Rose, will sail from Auckland tomorrow to take up a ski instructor's appointment at the Mount Tremblane resort in eastern Canada
Miss Rose won the New Zealann women’s slalom in 1955. the slalom, giant slalom, and downhill events in 1956. and the giant slalom this year
Miss Rose hopes to Ro to Canada for the next four winters to complete her instructor’s course there. Born in South Africa, Miss Rose came to New Zealand at the age of six. and lived in Central Otago. She learned to ski while on a visit to Austria in 1952, and when she returned took up the sport seriously at Coronet Peak, Queenstown.
