Money-Spinner.— At least one Christchurch firm has taken ad vantage of the Sputnik as an advertising medium. In the. window of a shoe store in Co-i lombo street is a large sign bear-! ing a cardboard globe with a, small shining metal ball spin-: ning round the outside of it. A slogan on the sign says “The satellite and —’s shoes—both star, performers.”
